Ginny
Lil' blue merle beasty with a ridge betwen her eyes

(Sade - The Sweetest Tabo)

Ginny is the most Ginnylike of all dogs that ever walked on this planet. She's curious, she's a big sleepy, she's cranky, she's good, she's the best, sometimes she amazes me, other times I'd just send her and her Aussie character far away on a lonely ranch. Sweetest Taboo - her pedigree name - really suits her. She is by all means a typical Australian shepherd, but most importantly she's mine, the one and only.

My whole life I dremaed about having a dog and even before I got Ginny I knew I wanted an Australian shepherd. When my parents agreed to having a dog in our home, I didn't grab the first puppy that crossed my way but I waited for Ginny's mum Blum to have her litter. It was a long wait, but deffinetely worth waiting. Smile I was up to date with all information regarding Blum's mating and so I knew Ginny even before she was born. Finally 2 months after mating, Blum gave birth to 7 tiny (or so I thought) puppies. I was hoping really hard that one of them would be the right one for me - a blue merle female was my wish.Yet I waited for pups to grow bigger and develope their characters to see which one would fit me and my family best.

Ginny spent first two months of her life in a small village named "Log pri Brezovici" with family Šporar, her siblings, mum Blum and a pigmy goat Spotty. Thank you Jasna for taking such good care of puppies and for all the advice you have given me. To ease my waiting for a pupy I stopped by for a visit. Still (or maybe just because of that) picking my puppy was a hard job. Eventually I chose Ginny to be my and I don't regret my choice (duhLaughing. The waiting was over in the middle of September 2006 when we took Ginny home. Little furry puppy stole our hearts in the moment she came to our home and we quickly got used one to another. Trying to avoid big mistakes a fresh dog owner would make we soon attended puppy classes and of course we were off to explore the world.

Ginny brought a big change into my life - in a good way of course. We go on walks where we meet new people, we hike, we do agility and frisbee and we found search and rescue that we both love.
